The explosion-proof foot switches can function as keys of a computer mouse, keyboard or other input devices in hazardous areas. The pedal operation is based on optical key detection technology. The pedal is made of 1.5 mm thick metal alloy, which makes it very durable, it can support a weight of more than 150 kg. The base of the pedal has anti-slip TPU rubber pads, allowing it to be used on hard floors. The pedal has a short stroke of only 4mm, which makes it easier to press and use with your hands on the desk. The surface has anti-skid rubber mat that can be yellow, blue or black. The rubber mat can be engraved.

Metal foot switches don’t require any special drivers or software. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Chrome and Linux.

The foot switch is connected through an industrial USB 2.0 connector to an intrinsically safe barrier Ex USB 2.0.

The foot switches have a “hot-plug” function which allows them to be connected and disconnected without stopping, shutting down or rebooting the system.
