Explosion-proof Ex USB Display

The explosion-proof USB Display is an OLED display with a resolution of 128x64 pixels, driven directly from USB. It features a built-in controller which can render simple graphic objects, display text with various fonts, and even play pre-recorded animated sequences. Since it requires no driver, it is ideal as a control panel for embedded applications.

The device includes a flash-based filesystem to store files (GIF images, font files, animated sequences). Moreover, it features 6 inputs allowing to measure state of resistive components such as buttons, switches, knobs, potentiometers, mini joysticks, etc..

The OLED screen is light blue, very clear and easy to read even in broad daylight.

These explosion-proof USB displays are layer based. They features several independent drawing layers. You can draw in any on them, and each can be shown, hidden, shifted, swapped at will. This allows to build neat animations quite easily. You can even do double buffering. You can define small animations which can run as background tasks, without the help of the host computer.

This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network, to a WiFi network and to a GSM network using special adapters.

Note: To use the Ex USB Display in a hazardous area, the device must be protected to at least IP 65, so it must be placed inside the enclosure.

Ex USB Display don’t require any special drivers or software. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Android and Linux and easy to drive from a maximum of programming languages.

The Ex USB Display is connected through an industrial USB 2.0 connector to an intrinsically safe barrier Ex USB 2.0.

The Ex USB Display have a “hot-plug” function which allows them to be connected and disconnected without stopping, shutting down or rebooting the system.
