For the preliminary assessment of IECEx quality management system compliance with EN/ISO/IEC 80079-34, we recommend using a checklist. This is one of the auditor's tools used to ensure that the audit covers, at a minimum, the requirements defined in the audit scope. However, the use of checklists does not limit the scope of the audit, which may vary depending on the information collected during the audit.

Using this checklist can be the best way to gain an overall understanding of your business processes and identify areas that need to be brought into compliance with EN/ISO/IEC 80079-34 requirements or simply improved.
